A rare Lounge Chair designed by Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol, and produced by Dal Vera, Italy, 1950s. Executed in honey-toned rattan, the chair features a dramatic fan-shaped back and a sweeping, low-slung seat, defined by tightly spaced reeds and a distinctive looped border. The circular woven seat and splayed bamboo legs reinforce its airy yet architectural character. A strong example of post-war rattan design, and of Abraham and Rol’s work in natural materials.
