A rare and sculptural pair of Art Nouveau Table Lamps, from a design by Charles Ranc, France, early 1920s. Produced by Suberville, the lamps feature cast patinated bronze stems in the form of stylised birds, with elegantly arched necks and finely modelled plumage, each supporting a suspended shade from the beak. The shades are executed in pressed 'pâte de verre' glass by Verrerie d’Art Degué, Paris, with a faceted lower section characteristic of the period. Both lamps are impressed with the Suberville foundry stamp, and the shades are etched Degué.
