Centre Table, crafted in Austria c1910. An exceptional example of Viennese Jugendstil, the table is crafted in fruitwood and mahogany. It features a circular top with basket-weave marquetry, above a stem composed of four clustered columns with brass collars, and rests on a distinctive polygonal base clad in hammered brass executed in the martelé technique, associated with the Wiener Werkstätte. A rare and elegant example of refined European Art Nouveau design.
